International Students Participated in the Activity of

To promote the excellent Chinese traditional culture and to improve the understanding, recognition and identity of the Fu culture among international students in China. On the afternoon of April 28, the FAFU Fu Culture Study Club for One Belt, One Road International Students held an activity of Painting the Beauty of FAFU, Tracing the Cultural Foundation. Faculties from the Department of Chinese Studies and international students were invited to the activity.

The activity was divided into three parts, including historical overview, text appreciation and red-inscriptions making of cliff carvings, through which the international students were able to deepen understanding of the historical background and cultural value of cliff inscriptions, and improve their calligraphy skills and understanding of ancient Chinese poetry.

Arcel, from the DRC said, the red inscriptions making has deepened my understanding of Chinese culture, and I was proud to see the red inscriptions on cliff carvings made by myself became a beautiful sight on campus.

Shehu from Nigeria said, I have made a red inscription of Chinese character Fujian and its pinyin on the stone today. It is really an unforgettable experience. Fujian is my second hometown and a blessed land.”
