Research Interests:

1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of disease resistance in various fruit tree germplasm resources.

2. Identify and apply novel disease-resistant germplasm and genes to improve crop resilience.

3. Investigate the physiological and molecular mechanisms underlying plant disease resistance.

4. Develop innovative strategies for fruit tree germplasm improvement using advanced breeding and genetic engineering techniques.

5. Special focus on the study of wild strawberry and grape germplasm resources native to China.


Research Focus:

1. Screen and identify key disease resistance genes in wild strawberries and grapes.

2. Utilize molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, and phytopathology techniques to elucidate the functional roles of these genes in disease resistance.

3. Enhance germplasm quality by understanding the interactions between disease resistance genes and other cellular pathways.

4. Apply findings to develop new strategies for improving disease resistance in cultivated varieties.
